Got into grad school

Not much point to this thread, however I got an email today telling me I got into MIT for their master's program.

Also got into Princeton and Harvard, but for engineering MIT gets the nod most likely.

Wow, that's great and I hear that it's become more competitive to get into grad school as well with many college grads applying to grad school because they are unable to find a job right now. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what college did you go to?

haha smartypants 🙂

I went to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute located in Troy, NY

Bluga, sorry wrong type of engineering (I'm a mechanical)

I plan to specialize in robotics.

So, what are you going to do after you get your Masters from MIT?
You could join the Peace Corps. We always need good people.

Capn, even though i am a freshman @ college ... i am very interested in attending Grad school after i graduate.
As of right now, i am probably looking at a low 3's for my GPA for the year .... and i am fairly worried....

If you do not mind me asking, what was your GPA when you graduated? 🙂

Congradulations and Thanks! 🙂

I graduated with a 4.0

However since you're only a freshman you have lots of time to improve your gpa.

The question remains. After you get your advanced degree are you going to do something to help the unfortunate or are you going to indulge yourself in hedonism? There are millions of people with masters degrees, but there are only a brave few who can call themselves Peace Corps Volunteers.
