Got into an arguement with someone at work

He said you can disable the windows login password from the BIOS. I snooped around on my BIOS and didn't see any option like that.

Is he completely wrong, or can this be done on some computers?

BIOS password is to allow user access to system boot up or BIOS access.

Windows logons are controlled by the security account manager. Two entirely different things.

If he is going to argue it, then have him show you.

You can set a BIOS password. AFAIK you can't disable windows login through BIOS... since the two aren't mixed, I don't even know why he would think that. i don't believe it's possible, but i've never tried nor cared to.

edit: apparently im right.
