Finally got 3DMark01' to work, i got 9,823, is it just me, or does that seem a bit low for an FX5900?

That's very low, I got 13,000+ with a Ti4200. Make sure you have AA and AF turned off?

Redid with them off, got 11,803 thats still low, it is the first edition also, if that has any effect on the score, could my only having 256mb DDR ram have any effect aswell?

Odd, my guess is you should be hitting about 14k with default settings. Did you connect the power connector that came with the card? I know the manual may say only connect the power connector if you have a ultra but that is untrue. Its best recommended to connect it. :D

Your score is very low. You should get 17k+ probably with that cpu and video card. Make sure aa, af, and vsync are off.

CPU is only at 1.4ghz, because i havn't gotten new ram yet, so i have it at default multiplier, but the FSB is at 166 i think.

sounds right for your CPU speed and FSB...
3DMark2001 is very CPU/RAM dependant... far more than your video card...

in order to get 17K, you'd need a 2.3GHz athlon @ 220FSB

11x166 you mean. I agree though, are you having processor problems? With a Barton 2500 you should be able to hit 11x200 (Barton 3200+) speeds easily.

no problems, just havn't done it, i'll let it the processor take it easy, until i get some ram, i'll run test again now, it definatly ram dependent, i have to close all other programs basically for it to run.
