You're greedy, and you let a greedy lawyer hook you. I see no problem here.

I dun see how he's being greedy - what would you have done if you were in his shoes? ignore and let youself take the blame?

Yeah, I'm really not a greedy guy.. In fact, I've gotten rear ended twice and both times shook the hands of the drivera and sent them on their way without asking for any info/money (both just scratched my bumber).. This guy was being a major jerk-off and the damage was major - 4 or 5 grand worth.. I just want to be compensated for the insurance premium and deductable - how is that greedy?

I would consult my own lawyer.

I am interested to hear what the police officer said about the other guy failing to give information and who was at fault.

The cops were both friendly chaps and reacted in the most professional way - when we bickered over the details they just said that they're only there to write down both of our stories and are not there to point fingers.. They did abruptly send the other guy away (he's one of those rude, loser type individuals that still speak "hip hop" even though they're pushing 40) and spent more time with me during the process - I think they understood that I was not at fault because I was parked and relied mostly on my take ofthe accident..
