Amazingly that just FRIDAY i applied for the job and got hired TODAY. One benefit of being a nurse with really good credentials. However the 2 interviews took over 3 hours...holy mother F my brain hurts!

On top of that I dont have to pay city taxes at the new job so that an automatic $1000 a year that I'll get back plus my starting pay is 6% more than my current.

Pretty fricking sweet.

And oh instead of an ER nurse I'll now be a cardiac catheterization/interventional radiology nurse. Awesome

:UPDATE: My current/job I am leaving from just called me and asked for me to be in a promotional video(aka TV commercial for the hospital) They film it tomorrow...they don't know I'm quitting yet......LMAO Oh the freakin irony

CONGRATZ!

I just got a new job too. My interview was Monday from 7:30 till about 6:30 and then again Tuesday for about 2 hours.

Now I get to assist into shoving(VERY gently) catheters into hearts, legs, and brains 😛

Cool. I support a CPACS & Hemo system. What those guys are able to do with caths/guidewires is pretty fricken insane. The cine clips of the case are wild. It looks like some sort of alien life form on the screen.

[Edit] Job should hopefully be a little more laid back than an ER...espcially in Detroit. No GSW's or MVA traumas coming in. Still have a chance of a patient stroking out on the table though. :\

When being filmed for the video make sure you turn towards the camera and start to dance randomly and then just leave.

Luckily they pulled it out before they woke me up. But they put it in when I was wide awake. Just imagine a tube 3X the size of your urethra being shoved in and being held in place by a balloon in your bladder.

Weird. I watch about an hour of tv a week these days, and it's only Food or Discovery.

Depends on where you live, my region its like cats and dogs...the hospital fight for every patient and fight for ad space not just on TV but radio too. Hell my old hospital even has their own digital on demand channel on comcast...all devoted for patients info about procedures, doctors etc...totally crazy.

Grats man! I couldn't be a nurse...I can't deal with poo or puke. I see either and I am sure to hurl.

Uh oh. Hope you don't plan to have kids!

Congrats, yeah that happened to me, I was in a company training video for all new employees a few months before I quit, lol.
