Yes, you are wrong. If you owe a debt, you need to pay. It's on your account, so you're responsible for that debt.

Responsibility? What's that?

I dont understand what the big fucking deal is. He's just some guy working at blockbuster and the computer is asking him to tell you to pay up. Who cares? If your mom is tied to your account, then technically it's still your account isn't it? It's SIX FUCKING DOLLARS. I would rather pay the $6, assuming it was correctly debt'ed to my account, than have to go through the hassle of haggling back and forth just so your mom has to deal with it in a few weeks.

The clerk was just doing his job, either pay the money or walk away from the place and never go back. I assume you will do the latter since you seem to think there is no responsibility to pay, even though it is your account.

It's not the point, the point is that he was using that as leverage for a retail purchuse which has nothing to do with rentals, he was threatening me and charging me 6 bucks more for my movie purchuse. Ya I could walk out of there, and I could also lose my $ 5 deposit, not cool.

I am late to this thread but I can say right off the bat he wasn't hassling you - you seem to think he had a vendetta. He would do the same to anybody who had a fee on their account. And you know the deposit attached to your account means you are liable (even if it's your mom). Anyway, the dude wasn't out to get you - it is procedure, much like they do at the library when they catch you in there.

i dont think ive ever actually paid a late fee at blockbuster. usually they just say "oh, thats cool, we can get rid of that for ya". probably due to the fact that i used to rent a shit ton of movies.

So you got pissed at a store trying to collect a debt from you.

It doesn't matter what you were in the store to do, you owed them money on your account and should have paid it.

This crazy ugly mother fucker at the counter tells me I have 6 dollars in previous restocking fee's, and add's it on top of my purchuse of Batman. First off it's not me who had the restocking fee's, it was my mom because she is linked to my account. Second I am not renting anything, I am making a retail purchuse of a movie, that has nothing to do with my fee's on my account, you don't even need an account to make a purchuse, anyone can walk in and buy it.

So anyways, I tell the guy, that's my moms fee and she will pay it when she rents a movie next time, becuase I don't rent movies since the last couple of years. I also tell him it has nothing to do with me buying Batman, it's a retail purchuse, you can't con people into putting down deposits for the movie and then demand fee's on top of it. This guy is still being a total ass telling me I have to pay, finally I am like "I would like to use my pay it next time I am here pass", so he looks at me and tells me he is going to put a warning on my account saying if I don't pay it next time I can't do anything. I said fine, I don't do anything anyways but purchuse a retail movie from time to time, so it doesn't matter, and if my mom chooses to rent here again (she won't, Ill make sure of that given the guys attitude today), she will pay it.

I am going to send in a letter of complaint against him saying he hassles customers and unrightfully tries to con them fees on retail purchuses which is against the law. I never do stuff like this, but today was the wrong day to piss me off, especially by some ugly teenage fucker that shouldn't give a shit.

Man this guy was ugly, picture a huge head, barely balancing itself...that's him.

Quoted for proof.

I'm calling shens. I think you're trying to get in on the self-pwnage-of-the-year-award. That, or you're an idiot.

Didn't Blockbuster eliminate late fees? Or did they switch back?

BTW, please tell me that English is not your primary language, or that you're under the age of ten.

Oh, and :camera:'s of mom? ;)

Because when you are a whiney lil fuck you must create drama so you seem important.

Loser.

There is no emoticon to properly convey how much of an idiot you just made yourself look like. However, I will try my best with what I got.

:Q:confused::camera::gift::laugh:

Oddly enough there's also no emoticon to properly convey that someone needs new sarcasm batteries.

I personally will never use blockbuster again because of idiots there. Last time I went there they tried to tell me I had $26 I needed to pay. The time before I had made a couple cheap movie purchases and did a rental all in one go. I paid up and returned the movie on time so I was kinda baffled at this so I asked,
"What for?"
"Well sir, the last time you were here the card machine was down, so the payment didn't go through."
"Like hell it did, I got a receipt and the charge showed up on my account. I am not going to paying f*cking twice for the same movie purchases I made."

Tried to talk to a manager and he said I needed to reproduce the receipt to prove that I payed because their system has my account flag for no payment since their card system had went down that night. Which was basically 6 months previously. So I had thrown away the receipt by that point. I could have asked for my bank to send me another paper statement showing the charge had gone through but I didn't want to put forth the effort. I told them, "f*ck you very much" and walked out. I am never going to deal with Blockf*cksters again either.

The problem is your complaint is valid (provided it's true - which I have no reason to doubt) and the OPs is not. :p

I think this is a case of a clerk refusing to give in to an annoying customer. They are both wrong, neither will admit it, and both will moan about it later to colleagues and/or friends.

what a deal you got.

OH MY GOD YOU ARE SO INTELLIGENT USA PRICING REALLY IS GOOD COMPARED TO CANADA GOD IF ONLY I COULD INSURE MY MOTORCYCLE AND PAY 500 instead of 5000 THAT WOULD BE AMAZING OH GOSH...wait, I already did that?

I take it that you want to be my reciever in the USA? I will buy items, ship them to your address, you will open them for me, repackage them and send them to me as a "gift" to avoid taxes and customs at the border, and once a year I will buy you something for your troubles? Sound good? Let me know, I always knew someone would volunteer.

Not an annoying customer, you don't understand the situation. I could of been annoying if I wanted to but instead I was relaxed and calm about it and wanted to gtfo.

Yo my complaint is valid, retail purchase = nothing to do with rentals = end of story. The customer is always right, what's wrong with you?
