Good thing I didn't buy that 4runner that I was thinking about last year. Drive for five is on. Dave may have been a little early on it but he was right.

Gasoline Thefts On Rise In Suburbs

The average price of a gallon of gasoline in Chicagoland is hovering just above $4 a gallon, and that has led to reports of gasoline siphoning in some suburbs.

WBBM’s Mary Frances Bragiel reports, west suburban St. Charles had two reports of gasoline theft last month, prompting police to advise residents to park their vehicles in the garage.

In Naperville, more than $900 worth of diesel fuel was siphoned out of four trucks, which investigators believe is connected to high gas prices.

Ah but this clock did not say it would never happen like you and your buds

I don't think anyone denied that gas would some day reach $5 per gallon, it still hasn't by the way, but you were saying it was going to arrive 3 or 4 years ago. As usual you were incorrect, but now are trying to claim somehow you are a god damned Nostradamus.

How's that $7 milk working out?

Been carded for vinegar lately?

In short, you're so full or shit and Twinkies that several smaller fat people have been caught in your gravity well and are now trapped in orbit.

wtf are you kidding me? Dave said gas was going to be $5 a gallon by Dec. of 2007 or 2006, it's been so long I can't even remember now. This is EXACTLY what everyone else said would happen, that gas would climb to $5 YEARS later and then Dave would claim that he was right. Although I'm not sure any of us realized that he would also have followers dumb enough to think that he was right, so you got us on that one.

I'm sure dmcowen cannot find a single person on the forums who ever said gas would never hit $5. Without saying when all his prediction amounts to is that inflation will continue. As it has for thousands of years. Great prediction, very impressive.

Interesting....I went to New York this weekend and gas in New Jersey was $3.49 per gallon...and that's for full service (which is all they have I think). Well below the national average.

Commodity markets open, and more green arrows start things off. Oil up, gold up, silver up, corn, wheat, soybean all up.

Its ok bud, the .gov CPI is low so there really isn't any inflation and of course monetizing the debt has nothing at all to do with the non-inflation we are currently seeing.

Being right about the price and wrong about the time only makes you poorer.
I was of the impression dmcowen was a multi-millionaire. He seems to have an uncanny sense about the commodities markets and knows when, within the week if not the day, to go long or short.

If you only listen to him I can understand how you would get that impression.

You forgot to add his earthquake predictions.

But seriously, he has a hard enough time even keeping a job b/c he's too busy trying to find aliens.
