Remember Donald Trump said gas would be $8 last month during his speech at CPAC.

There are pictures of the gas stations and the prices below for the America hating liars on here.

Not sure what they get out of lying like they do.

In Orlando, Fla., two gas stations that are the closest to the airport, and across the street from each other, are selling regular at $5.29 and $5.19 a gallon.

Probably not much but I bet they lure in some suckers, who are too stupid to realize that all the other gas stations are a buck or more cheaper.

I paid $3.39 in MA yesterday.

I think dmcowen usually posts premium prices. So you paid $3.39 for regular, which means premium was at least $3.80. I paid $4.09 in central CT today for premium. I don't understand why people are acting like gas prices aren't going up a lot. It's not that hard to see.

Premium is very consistently, give or take some noise, $.20 more than 87. In fact, dmcownen finds an outliers station in a city that is charging vastly higher than the average and uses this as the benchmark. So, if some dude starts selling his gas at $8.50 in Washington DC as a joke suddenly that's the price of gas to dmc. You'll notice that he's incapable of admitting that the average price of gas is, today, less than $3.50. He focuses on only the highest he can find. There are stations in Wyoming selling for under $3 right this second but it's meaningless as they are outliers.

Nobody is pretending gas is not going up a lot. Not a one.

Exactly this.

We want accurate numbers, not tourist traps that only catch fools so we can see the real life trends of the effects of crude prices to our pump prices.

Up in some mountain towns in Colorado that don't have gas stations they will charge you $50 for a 5 gallon can of gas.. so is that now the average "Dave price" of gas here in Colorado?

As the price of food and fuel keep increasing it takes away spending from all other areas i'm not seeing an economic recovery (wasn't seeing it anyway but now worse) Only question is when we start days of raging. What happens when it costs you more to get to work and eat than you earn? My advice is plant a garden now you're gonna need it.

Every penny rise on gas takes around $1.5 billion out of the economy to other areas, not counting the increases it brings to other truck/train/plane/ship transported goods that increase with the cost of fuel.

It had better hurry up and pop then...less than a week to go and it's going up..up...up. Too much money chasing trying to make more money. Wall Street kicking us in the ass again.

I don't think they'll drop that fast. I do doubt that we'll hit a national average of $4 before this starts to recede, though; prices will trend downward at some point before that happens.

National average was $3.519 this morning, before the last pop up in oil. However, with Obama considering letting oil out from the national reserve, oil prices "may" stabilize for a day or two. We'll see....again, too much money trying to "trade" oil instead of buying it for usage...

Same thing that happened to housing a few years ago.."Flip this House" is now "Flip this Oil".

Oil now pushing $107 per barrel at $106.90 and rising currently. Welcome to 2007 recession 2.0 if this continues
