This isn't Obama's oil policy, it's Bernanke's.

I just paid $3.29, a 10% increase so far this year.

Gas prices top $4 in Chicago

Some gas stations in Chicago rose above the $4 mark for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline.

Indianapolis — If your weekend plans include a trip north to the Windy City, get ready to pay for it. Some gas stations in Chicago rose above the $4 mark for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline.

Wednesday morning, there was more pain at the pump for our neighbors to the north. Some gas stations in Chicago were charging more than $4 for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline. (WXIN-TV FOX59 / March 2, 2011)

It's $3.49 for regular here outside in the far suburbs of Chicago (even Indiana was $3.49 this past weekend).

Why is this news? According to you this happened 7 months ago when oil was $70 / barrel. It should be $5 now based on that math.

It just went to $3.499 in Lexington, KY from $3.349 yesterday. Pretty sad.

Oil closed at 102.41 today. It's up 17% over the last 1.5 weeks.

No gouging there...no speculation....just good ole supply and ....er...lots of supply....demand not so much in this equation, other than the demand for oil contracts by spectators.

Are you sure? Because two months ago you said gas prices in Chicago were over $4, in post 131. Does that mean they haven't gone up in the last two months at all or were you simply lying the first time?

News this morning stated that gas has risen over $0.40 in the last 7 days in Lexington. Not sure if that's the high points of every gas station. I know that between fillings, I went from $2.94 to $3.35 and it's now $3.49.

Oil is down about a buck today but we've seen that pattern before.

dave is funny. the only reason oil is above 80 a barrel is due to speculation over ME conflicts. The flow of oil really hasn't slowed much at all, just speculators again driving the price up. Wish I would have had the money in the right places to have got in on that. Some motherfuckers made a LOT of money.

Prices driven by speculation. Just remember to buy oil funds when the inevitable price tumble hapens.

Dave, if you would stop lying at least you would have an opinion

Doppel is the one lying.

I have posted pictures of the downtown stations.

They are not in the Chicagogasprices.com site.

At least the local Media is covering the story as well.

If you have an issue call CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX TV stations in Chicago.

The fun thing about this oil spike is that like everything else in the economy nobody has any idea where it will go or for how long. Some are talking of $160 or $200 oil and others saying it will be under $100 average, still, for 2011.

I don't see any of your pictures and all of those news stations say nothing about $5 a gallon gas

Quote right from your site MORON

"Many believe 5 dollar per gallon gas prices likely by July." LIKELY BY JULY... LIKELY.. not CURRENTLY

NOTHING about it being $5 right now.. Seriously why are you not banned

Seriously why are you allowed on the Internets when you have no reading comprehension?

I said heading to $5 since we are over $4.

You suck at Internets 101, perhaps you should go offline

Front page of yahoo right now

and it's a Fox video link

http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749625/who-s-to-blame-for-high-gas-prices-24398865
It's so funny when you refute people by posting links that refute you instead. At the beginning of that video it says the average price of gas is $3.40. And then some poll by people who know about as much about oil prices as you do (nothing) saying many think there will be $5 gas by July.

Here's a really easy question for dmcowen:

What is the current (March4, 2011) average price of 87 gasoline in the United States?
