Haven't gone down to the corner station yet today. Yesterday I took pic of it at $4.19. It went up 20 cents everyday all week to get there.
One would expect that with the amount you lie you'd be better at it than this. You're saying that station went up a dollar in a week and started at $3.19. And the rest of your posts are just the rantings of a mad man. Can you please ban yourself?

and that's not criminal how? Please state law that has been violated

Why should I have to pay more because they decide to do both at same time? The refineries normally do both every time they shift fuel blends

Of course every time is a rotation of the same lame excuses that they should be making less profit on, not more. The oil companies profit margin on gas is below Federal and State taxes. You're extra special because you get an additional local tax thanks to the people you voted into office.

It's backwards, they should be rewarded for good work not excuses. They get rewarded for good work as they make no money when the refinery is shut down.

I prefer when they shut down twice a year as I the company for whom I work and it's employees (including myself) make good money performing maintenance and repairing equipment in the refineries.

You are not discussing the impact on the economy because clearly you profit personally from the bullshit.

You go ahead and be complacent to clear raping of America by the Corporations.

How much they paying you?

You are certifiable. That you are still allowed to post on this board is a testament to the incredible patience and fairness of the AT admins.

Explain that? You're saying that they pay more taxes than what they make in profit (at least the way it reads).

No, the refineries make less profit on a gallon of gas than the Federal and State governments make from taxes.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390443687504577563383982418536.html

The price of a gallon of gas is based on the combination of four costs: that of crude oil, of refining gas, of distribution and marketing, and of taxes.

Crude oil costs make up about 76% of the cost of gasoline, according to U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Thus $2.66 of a $3.50 gallon of gasoline is set before the oil is even refined. Global markets, reacting to supply and demand, determine the cost of crude oil. Just like any commodity, from gold to corn, a shortage in supply or an increase in demand leads to a rise in prices.

Refining oil is the next step in the process—and the next expense for drivers. Gasoline is extracted from crude oil and additives, including lubricants and detergents to reduce engine deposits, are added. As of January 2012, the EIA found that refining was responsible for 6% of the cost of gasoline.

Distribution and marketing—the part of the process most apparent to consumers—constitutes another 6% of gas prices. That portion of the cost includes the shipping and transportation of the gasoline, a markup to cover retailers' expenses, and any advertising created to appeal to customers.

The remaining 12%—or almost 50 cents per gallon today—goes directly to federal, state and local governments in an array of sales and excise taxes. The federal gas tax is 18.4 cents on every gallon of gasoline sold in America. State gas-tax rates vary from a low of eight cents per gallon in Alaska to a jarring 49 cents per gallon in New York. Other states where it's steep to fill up include California and Connecticut—each with 48.6-cent-per-gallon gas taxes—and Hawaii, at 47.1 cents per gallon.

Some local governments have gotten in on the act, too. In California, local sales and excise taxes on gasoline average 3.1%, according to the Los Angeles Times. That works out to about 12 cents in local taxes for each gallon of gas, based on the state's current average of $3.80 per gallon.

OK...I thought you were saying that the producers were paying more tax than profit (which is not possible since taxes are paid on profits). The consumer is paying more taxes to the government than they are paying profits to the producers.

I really don't want to say I'm rubber and you're glue and what you say bounces off me and sticks onto you but speaking to you like a grown-up has never worked.

At least you freely admit to profiting off of Americans backs, I'll give you that much.

It's still criminal using that maintenance as excuses to jack up prices and make record profits.

I may be any of the above but that doesn't make you any less complaisant and an apologist to the Corporations raping this once great country.

It's still criminal using that maintenance as excuses to jack up prices and make record profits. Who's jacking up the prices? Refiners? Suppliers? Retailers?

I sleep well knowing that people like you help me make a good living by purchasing items from the companies that purchase equipment from the company where I work.

Actually, yes, it does. I have nothing whatsoever to do with the oil industry or any big corporations. You invented this out of whole cloth with zero evidence for it because you are nuts.

Until Americans have had enough.

Do honestly believe Americans can keep getting pushed like this and nothing will happen?

I somehow don't think I will ever see the day that people will go back to the way it was in the 1800's....living off the land..... using the light from candles or oil lamps......cooking with wood fired stoves......having ice boxes......getting around by use of horses, horse driven carriages, or bicycles..........

Better start looking around you.

More and more people I know never step foot in a grocery store or Wal-mart.

In my town as I speak they are starting up a town wide food co-op as the local groceries start to close up due to their high prices and people not able to afford shopping there.

Started with the elderly on fixed incomes and now joined by more and more younger working people that have pushed from the middle class into this new America you refuse to see.

You will though, mark my words, you will, even down there in Texas.

Yet they all use products that come from companies that use equipment that was manufactured by the company for whom I work. This equipment must be maintained and repaired to produce long term. I appreciate the fact you and them require products/services from these companies as it makes for a good living.
