got ecs rx480 mobo (overclockin problem)

ok i know this is not the best or the most expenisve mobo, but on this review this review, people seemed to get up to 290...now i was expecting to get at least 240-250, but it turns out i cannot under any configuration get over 215...at 216 cpu frequency the machine woont boot or locks up...i got 2x 1gb sticks of infineon (Hyundai HYMD512 646BP8JD43) and opteron 165...the bios is limited on the ECS and it has no PCI locks, but can anyone tell me what can i try to get the higher cpu frequency

things i tried: lowering multiplyer (to 8,7,6) and memory speed (to 100,133,166) and also LDT bus frequency (800mhz, 600mhz, 400mhz)...however there are a few things that i randomly changed which i havo no clear understanding what they do...those are:
LDT configuration (enable/disable), upstream LDT bus width (8bit, 16bit), downstream LDT bus width (8bit/16bit), PCIE reset delay (enabled/disabled)

also when i downgrade the memory spped, do i have to also manually upgrade the speed timings or can i just leave them on (200mhz) timings...like

@ 200 MHz 3.0-3-3-8 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)
@ 166 MHz 2.5-3-3-7 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)
@ 133 MHz 2.0-2-2-6 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)

also there are values in bios for this:
cas latency TCL
min RAS active time TRAS
RAS to CAS delay TRCD
row precharge time TRP
row to row delay TRRD
row cycle time TRC
row refresh cyc time TRFC

1t/2t memory timing
read preamble value
async latency value

does anyone have an idea on what the values should be for the types of the chips i have @200, 166, 133...i guess for these (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) its self explanatory, but if someone knows the rest i can try id be greatful

sorry for so many questions...thanks for reading 🙂

ok one more thing i just noticed...no matter what i set the LDT bus frequency it always gets reported by everest and sandra as 1000...shouldnt it drop down ?

since noone has this setup in the world, i guess i can report my findings for all the world to see 🙂

conclusion:
the new bioses that support E6 stepping do not support changing of FDT multiplyer, even though there is an option for it...when i flashed the very 1st bios, it reported my opteron 165 as unknown cpu, and found only one core...however FDT was changeable...so its up to ECS to hopefully fix this bug

hm i wonder if that bios will work with rx480 chipset...it seems it is used on rs480...what do you think?

tnx for the info though

hm it says u lose dual core support 🙁...kinda the same what i had in that old bios...ill hold out maybe ecs will update soon 🙂...until then i just wont overclock
