After having one Dell U3011 since December, I couldn't resist getting the surround+ setup! And, nearly $5,500 in monitors should keep me satisfied for many years to come.

So stoked I can't wait for the GTX-595 or whatever it's going to be called to be released!

Anyone else have the Dell U3011?

I love me some 30" monitors! 🙂

You must have gotten a nice big refund from Uncle Sam 🙂 Congrats on the setup it looks pretty sweet...

I just bought an e-ips and 2 CPVA for eyefinity, all 23".. and a 6950.
One of your monitors costs more than my whole new set-up.

Good stuff! Are you actually planning to game on all (or most) of those simultaneously? The way they are set up at that desk seems like it'd make it rather difficult to face the left screens. Looking forward to hearing your impressions of these.

Hey, let's just all remember that any 'refund' we get is usually money we've already worked hard for, that has been taken from us, and used to subsidize other people's desires to stay jobless/enjoy foodstamps/pay for others healthcare (thanks for that one Obama :awe🙂.

Just trying to keep things in perspective for when I get my 'refund' in a few weeks, you see, I want to get a multi-monitor setup too, and I have to convince myself that I've 'earned' it. But seeing as how it is my money in the first place, I guess I have earned it

@OP: Amazing setup, is that 4 monitors I count ? Are you just using the two 30 inch ones ? And you're going to need some crazy VRAM to run that resolution, so hopefully the GTX 5803GB will come back in stock at newegg.com

Anyways, give us some pics and a small review when you get it 'up and gaming' so to speak!

Edit: Oh, and I see a custom computer case hidden down there, what is that, like 12 fans on that thing ?

Well, I doubt everyone who's jobless "desires" to live below the poverty line, isolated from the rest of society, with no future and no purpose. If you're sick, you probably want healthcare though, regardless of whether you have a job or not. Civilized people take care of their old, weak and sick.

Anyway, nice setup. Personally I would have gone with 3 screens. 4 is just *too* wide for gaming, plus it requires some serious GPU power.

There are things like refundable tax credits, and plenty of them beyond the EIC.

College is a refundable credit these days, for example.

Unemployment cost the taxpayer 2 cents for every one hundred dollars ($89B out of $3834B), foodstamps cost the taxpayer 3 cents for every thousand dollars ($13B), and Obama's healthcare act actually reduces the deficit by $124B over ten years.
AHHH! NUMBERS AND TRUTH MAKE HEAD HURT! MUST... BLAME... OBAMA...

In all seriousness though, excellent setup Baasha, truly sweet :awe:. Please post some working/gaming shots when you're finished setting it all up .

Quite a lovely sight.

Planning to keep them in that setup? The sheer amount of horizontal distance to sweep your view across them seems rough on the neck.

Thought about three of them in portrait, keeping the 4th in landscape? That would leave some nice options. Unless, you're using them for some stock/trading application in which case I'd go with two in landscape side by side, stacked two high.

are those altec lansing speakers?? you can't surround game without surround sound speakers!!. get better speakers!

other than that. setup is awesome. i have to make due with 2 24" 🙁

That looks amazing! Please disclose specs on the system you have powering that setup! As others have suggested, let's see some shots of it in action!

To think I'm using only an Ultrasharp 24'' and a random $99 Asus 22'' with a shitty TN panel (I can really tell the difference. How do people deal with this junk as their primary display? 😛

P.S. How did you get all the cords to reach? 😵
