Asshats stole a few hundred bucks, my bank launched an investigation and will probably get my money back, pisses me off that people actually do this.

Odd thing is I don't remember using my card in anyplace new, it's usually the same faces I see all the time - I can't tell where this could have happened, do store managers do this or just employees? I'm sticking to cash from now on.

Anyway I didn't help the matter wasn't taking precautions, serves me right. I think online debit purchasing might be safer than physical stores - meh.

See what the charges since it's always fun to look at what people are willing to steal for.

This was a debit transaction? That's a lot more serious than credit card fraud. Your C.C. number can be stolen from any number of locations, not necessarily any physical location you visited. But yeah debit would usually have to be face to face.

do you have one of those mastercard paypass things? a person with the right technology can get the info of your CC while it being in your pocket.

Was the purchase from a physical store or was it for a online purchase like a itunes gift card?

Some assholes duped my CC recently, but luckily the transactions were flagged by my bank as possibly fraudulent and they called me. At least with a CC they can't suck money out of your account...
