hey guys, I got my Asus M6NE barebone.. and damn this thing looks sweet :D .. I ran into an early problem with CPU installation.. How do you access the CPU socket? There is a Plastic plate with Power and other buttons covering it. I already took the screws off, But still its there.. Tried tweezers, screw driver, etc.. no help :(

here is picture of the part I'm talking about:

Did you ever figure it out? I'm planning to get an Asus A64 barebones soon, and from what I thought you had to do is simply unscrew the bottom compartment and other stuff then you have access to the cpu.

Sorry I didn't see this post until now but I built an Asus M6BNE as well.

The black trim that goes around the keyboard just pops off if I remember correctly. From the pic you posted it appears you already have the upgrade pdf document, but I'll post a link below for those who might need it. I was going to take pics along the way when I was building mine but things went so easy and quick I totally forgot. The mini pci intel wifi card was what gave me the most trouble. The connectors for the antenna take a lot of pressure until they snap on. I hope I never have to remove it. Let us know how the install went.

Google your notebook's model #, I'm sure you will hit some forum/thread with info. :)

Ps: Google is your friend.
