Actually, i would recommend doing a minimal install (cpu/heatsink, ram, video, keyboard) outside the case first [edit] to make sure that it will POST [/edit]. It makes it easier to troubleshoot and saves you time if it doesnt post. Plus, some boards will short out on the case. Very tough to troubleshoot this when the board is in the case. 🙂 If you POST outside the case then you know you are safe to deal with all the little PIA pin connectors, etc. 😉

blackinches recommends the latest arctic silver as would many people on the forums. be careful how you apply it, there are instructions somewhere on the net on how to apply it properly, but blackinches cannot find the link at the moment.

Stop talking in third person you idiot

hello 🙂 right now im installing and Im using the http://www.hardwarezone.com/guides/amd-socket939/index.php?&pg=1 guide. Im on step 12 where I put in the power supply. My OCZ PowerStream 600W has a 20+4 connector.. and i have a asus a8n sli deluxe motherboard so what do I do to install this? do I put the 20 pin in and put the 4 pin on the other part of motherboard in the upper left to the processor or do i just put all 24 in the place where I plug in the powersupply to the motherboard?
