I've had that error before. At first, thought it was my RAM. Memtest came back fine. Updated the BIOS, no change. Then I noticed my usb ports had died. Switched out my cheap FIC motherboard (never buy again) for an Asus. Problem solved.
You definitely want to make sure that Windows is up-to-date. Go to Windows Update and make sure that all critical updates are installed. After they install and you reboot, go back and make sure there are no more. Repeat until no critical updates are listed.
What sound card are you using? You say it happened while you were listening to music. Let's start there. Make sure your sound card drivers are up to date.
