So I had a voicemail from the "Michigan Win-a-cash-Prize" contest this morning, stating that I won a cash prize, and I could contact XXX XXX XXXX number to redeem it, Monday through Friday.

They did not use my name in the voicemail, but they did have my cellphone number, which is odd. I certainly did not sign up for this contest either.

So, scam? It sounds like one, but I really want to call anyway! :p

Call from a pay phone, don't give them any personal info though, have them confirm stuff

99.999999% chance it's a scam unless you remember entering this contest.

If they ask for personal info, it's a scam.

Give the area code of the phone number they gave you.

Some scammers use numbers that are the equivalent of 900 numbers in the Carribean to scam you via your phone bill.

Do you have any outstanding warrants?

If so you have won a brand new car or a big screen TV. When you call in they'll tell you where it is and how to pick it up.

Congratulations!

Yeah, I wonder if the OP has some outstanding warrants or something, I've seen some cop shows where they setup a sting and invite all the people with warrants to come claim their prize.
