Got a strange call yesterday...

Yesterday some lady called my house.... it was wierd because she asked for "Brent" which is the i go by, but not my first name... saying that i had been awarded 50,000 dollars but that i would have to be in Atlanta, GA for the "drawing"... i wasnt home at the time, so my dad questioned what was going on. All he could got out of the lady was that the company was called "Award Center"... seemed like a big scam to me .. anyone else recieve a similar call?

Currently I'm sending some money to Nigeria to help get millions into this country. When we do, I'm going to make about 10,000% on my investment. You deal could be a scam though.

I get calls like this all the time, i took the time to listen to them once, basicaly they want you to buy some sort of reallllly expensive timeshare to win a "prize", its as close to being a scam as something can be without truly being a full blown scam.

Has anyone been getting the "Hi Im Dan from etc.etc.Youve just been selected etc.etc.

no but i keep getting the "please hold for a very important announcement" ..... "please hold for a very important announcement"

so i recorded the damn recording on my laptop using sound recorder and when someone calls me, i put the phone next to my speakers and play the recording on a loop
give them a taste of their medicine
