I've never ventured out of the domains of this forum, and the very thought gives me a panic attck.😉

Here's the crisis;

While trying to load a game on HeroesIII-Shadow of Death,
up comes this error message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program:C:\ProgramFiles\3DO\Heroes3\Heroes3.ICD
Abnormal Program Termination

any help would be much appreciated

that didn't fix it, but thanks AMD

anyone else out there willing to offer me any advice or solutions?

I spent hours building up my heroes through a campaign, and now it won't load the next level. I'm devastated.:|

Like Millenium said, it might be the video drivers. You might try setting up for the Standard VGA Adapter and try that. I think the ICD file is an OpenGL driver.

Yep thats exactly what I was thinking... if you are using beta drivers, then try your old ones. If not update your drivers.

K6-2 400 @400
Asus mb, can't remember the model
Voodoo3 3000
192mb RAM

the thing is, I have played this particular game before all the way through a few months ago without any problems, why would it develop this now? I can't think of any hardware or driver changes during that time. I haven't done any upgrades since I put the V3 3000 in last winter.

Maybe I should take this to another forum, but I'm not sure where to even start. I wonder how many people even play this game anymore.
