The whole apple software is a pain as well.I like it simple. With the Philips I can copy music to it or FROM it as if it was a hard drive.

I'll give you the credit for not wanting to use itunes. there are alternatives, but yes, not as simple as pure drag and drop. Hell, I have that complaint too.

However, waiting for the battery to die? Did you not even bother to look for how to reset your ipod?

I have the one linked in the post by that guy who's hatin' on Philips. Probably the same as the OP's. I actually quite like it. The touch-sensitive controls are a nice touch (all it has is Next, Back and Play/pause on the front, everything else is on the side), as is the blue they light up. And by touch-sensitive, i mean the front is completely flat and smooth, except the depression where the scroller is. It's got a nice color screen, too. It hasn't locked up yet either, but it did drop it's database a week ago and I had to move all the music in HD mode so I could repair the database.

Oh, and I only paid $150 for mine from walmart 😉

i give this a 10/10 on the quality of review level. i have never seen a review so confounding, so positive, and so in-depth as this review.

It locks up frequently.

I have 3 iPods and only one of them has locked up-once. I'm actually listening to my 4GB Nano right now at work.

Me hugs my Nano. That is the only Apple product I have ever owned. It is rocking in the car, is loud enough for me to play the drums along with it and small enough to not get in the way.

Never had a lockup and don't mind Itunes even though it is bloated.

My daughter has the creative zen and it works very well also. Not as loud as the Ipod and the WOW factor is less than the Nano. 🙂

You might want to look up the definition of confounding. Did you perhaps mean profound?
