Got a Philips 6GB MP3 player-much better than ipod

by the way i assume OP is talking about THIS. in that case, for $185 you can get a flash based mp3 player with similar capacity, or hell, for the same price you can get 2gb more from THIS.

that wasn't such a hot buy at all.

I got a 30GB Philips player.
It locks up frequently.

I am just saying that my Philips has not locked up yet whereas the ipod has locked up at least twice-I tried to reset it,it was hard locked I would plug it into my computer thinking maybe that would unlock it but I had to wait for the battery to die both times which is very frustrating.
Not only that but I had to install apple's crummy itunes to get my mp3s onto it,just copying to it did not work.

You're too dumb to own an iPod.

You can use Winamp to transfer songs . I've owned various iPods since they came out in 2001, and a Mini froze once on me. Once in 5 years .

Besides everything else, you shouldn't judge an MP3 player on the headphones included in the purchase. No matter what you buy, the headphones WILL suck. Ignorance is bliss .

no I did not hit browse,it does lock up and I have to wait for the battery to die before I can use it again.
The whole apple software is a pain as well.I like it simple.With the Philips I can copy music to it or FROM it as if it was a hard drive.
