I doubt it will be different enough to make you want to trade...but after checking out the BRZ at the auto show I was trying to talk the wife into selling our WRX :p

Anyway, enjoy!

Looks good! Suspension isn't too stiff to go over town? Had a friend who was cringing every time he hit a pothole with his STi. Then decided he'll settle for something more comfortable but with less power

cool how much?

With TTL and the wheel/tire roadhazard (I was tired, gave in on the roadhazard) it was pushing 40k. This was a bit of a mental hurdle going to look at the car. I had never paid over 30k for any vehicle in my life. Once I got to the dealership it was all over. That color blue looks better in person than it does in pictures IMO.

It is a little rough, but not as bad as I expected. The expansion strips are the worst. I don't really feel it, but you got that boom noise from the suspension. Thats the best way I can think of to describe it.

Welcome to the STI owners club.
I love my 2010 sti se.
Cobb access port is worth the money. It made the car a differant car.
It now pulls hard all the way up the rpm range, where before it was slow to pull after the first turbo surge.

THAT IS THE PERFECT COLOR FOR THE STi - AND I ABSOLUTELY THINK SEDAN >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>HATCH.

Good Job OP!

I wanted a brz originally and started researching the wrx. Well, I drank the awd Kool-aid and got a world rally blue sti.

Nice.

I had a chat with our Subaru salesman who sold us my wife's 2011 WRX. He had a 2009 WRX. He went to a corporate driving event for the BRZ and liked it, but then traded his WRX in for another WRX (not STI). On a practical note it does snow in Wisconsin. On an emotional note, he felt (as do I) that the BRZ was underpowered. :p I say that from a specification standpoint. He says that from the standpoint of owning a 265bhp WRX and getting to drive a new BRZ for a day.

They were allocated 14 BRZs as the biggest dealer in the state, and all were pre-sold sight unseen except for one that the buyer backed out so that one is in the showroom. I think I've already seen 3 of them around Milwaukee.

It's no evo... but still a nice car. ;) I would have gone with the hatch, but it's personal preference.

Now, dig a little deeper into your pockets. exhaust and e85 tune.

Yeah, I'm thinking the hatch looks better too:

I prefer the hatchback but am still quite envious of you. Have fun with one of the coolest cars on the market.

You picked sedan over hatch? There goes the utility of getting this car.

Cool, I always wanted that dark purple they made

That's what my wife wanted too, but she didn't want to pay the $7000 or so extra for the STI over the normal WRX just for the color (she also didn't want the harsher suspension and lack of leather seats with hatchback).

I dunno about that. There is something about having a bit of muscle in a good handling hatch. I'm curious to see what the 2014 WRXs and STIs bring, might be my next car. I'd like a little more utility than my current sedan offers since I carry bikes and other things around occasionally.
