Hatch vs. Sedan doesn't make a huge difference for things like bikes. Those are still better on the roof or on a hitch carrier. If you want them inside you'll lose the rear seats.

Carrying bikes and other things like pumps, spare tires, toolkits, etc is what I mean. Having a hatch means I don't have to dump as much stuff on my seats as I can in the hatch. And hatches also typically have integrated roof rails / more available tow hitch options if I wanted to use a hitch mount.

I know for my sedan, if I had the hatch version of it the tow hitch install takes 15 minutes of bolting things up. But the sedan has a different rear end and I need to drill a hole in the spare wheel well to make a mount point for a hitch that the hatch already has in place.
