Got A NEW System And It will Not Work.Please HELP!

I recently bought a ASROCK 939Dual-SATA2 M1695 RT + A Athlon 64 3500+ Venice Processor.I tried to install windows 98 and keep getting a error.Invalid Geninstall INFfile.(0x192).Now it only does this on this motherboard .I used the same harddrive and windows install disk in my compaq and had no trouble.I then tried to put the hard drive from the compaq that I just installed windows on into the new system and it crashed and then when I tried to restart it said system32 file missing reinstall windows.I have done this like 10 times and its getting annoying.What can this be?Please help.

You can't take a hard drive with Windows on it from one computer and just put it in a different computer.

Well im just telling you everything I tried.I did a clean format and tried to install and it wont let me.Is this motherboard cursed or what?I cant get anything to load.

How much ram do you have? If you are trying to install windows 98 and have more than 512mb of ram..there is your problem..

Most Socket 939 mobos do NOT support Win98. Why the heck are you trying to install Win98 on an Athlon64 system anyway? Talk about a waste.
