I had a stand up electric scooter for a few years and loved it. After putting 4k miles on it It broke down and the extended warranty company told me they can't get the parts at their repair shop. So they gave me credit to get something new. This is a damn blast, it's 60v 30ah with dual 2000 watt motors. Since it doesn't have pedals, it's not an Ebike and since it has a seat, it's not classified as a scooter either. It falls into a grey area in California, well not really grey basically it's not legal, but it's not a big imposing full size looking dirt bike like a Surron. So I should fly under the radar as long as I'm not racing around like a total dipshit.
It can go 50mph and has a silly amount of torque for how small it is. if you ride like a maniac the range will be around 15 miles. I can zip around at a fun enough speed and get 35-40. Which is fine with me. They also sell range extenders which can get it up to like 105ah. With how low to the ground it is, the sensation of speed is a blast. I was going 28 and it felt like I was going way faster. The top speed of 50 is about 13 slower than my old scooter. But I never got it anywhere close to 63, and usually didn't even have it in the 40s. So 50's still faster than I'll be going. The small size and all the torque had made ripping around at 25-30 a lot of damn fun. And it has split rims, so when I get a flat, all I'll need is an allen wrench to get the bolts off, no tire spoons, and no greasing a rim and struggling to get a tire on.
It does 0-15/3.3s and 0-30/5.8s. Slow compared to a motorcycle but quick for a tiny machine like this. In mode 5 the front tire won't even stay on the ground when you gun it. My old helmet was on it's last leg, so I got a KYT Revo-TT, I don't know how the hell these are only $180, it's DOT, ECE, extremely comfortable and I love the artwork. I don't know much about helmets, but most I looked at were crazy expensive.
