Problem: power locks won't lock
So I bought this thing pretty cheap and am happy except I can't figure out why the power locks won't lock. They unlock fine but won't lock with the switch or the fob.
I think he's asking if the switch on the passenger's door works. IIRC there are two switches, one on the driver's door and one on the passenger door in most Ford products.
If neither switch works, then it's possible that there's a discontinuity in the control wiring somewhere, which would be a real pain to figure out. Can't think of any other reasonable explanation for why all four (well, 5 I guess since there's the tailgate lock as well) actuators would stop working at the same time.
But from what I can see, either there is an option in the antitheft alarm
that can be changed so they don't lock or the problem is within the
antitheft alarm controller, as that is what the switches control, which then
controls the locks
