As long as he is receptive to a return I would not leave negative heat. Give him the benefit of the doubt that it didn't come from his house, no need to publicly humiliate him.

i dont know.i swear to god i'd rather get rip[ped off than get a box full of roaches.
they could be now laying eggs in child of wonders house.
he could be having a holiday poarty next year and roaches could be crawling under the rim f the punchbowl.
at least getting screwed is clean
nothing about roaches are clean dirty filth!!!
id be so heated!!!

I suppose I don't have the visceral reaction, cockroaches problems are essentially non-existent in the pacific northwest. I may have seen one once on a childhood trip in the south but I have never, ever seen one in a building here in Oregon.

What's wrong with Imageshack? I only use it because I was too lazy to sign up for an account and it is one of the few image hosting sites (at the time) that lets you post without signing up. It does the job, but what am I missing out on? What site do you use?

it's a crappy site, that's what's wrong with it.

I don't get how. I click on the images I want uploaded, it uploads them and spits back a link. Easy as pie. What site do you use?

Edited to remove quotation of post directly above mine.

These are not bugs. It's a species of a cockroach. They are very common in Russia and seem to be a little less common here in US. We used to call em "Prussaks" after the Prussians, because these damn things start running like crazy at the sight of a human (or a Russian for that matter... Rightly so, because we kicked their ass during the The Seven Years' War) ;)

You don't want it getting too cold (< -30C) or that could do damage! Also important! NEVER seal it airtight! Dry ice is CO2 in solid form and its sublimation pressure is > 1070 psig! A sealed cooler becomes a bomb at that point so you want to vent it. Once the CO2 displaces all the breathable air for a few hours ANYTHING inside is dead. So this will kill mice in an A/C unit, for example. This trick is popular for boaters/RVrs etc. that come back after layup and find all sorts of critters onboard and do NOT want to retain the services of a PCO charging over a thousand dollars to Vikane it. ;)

I was going to suggest the exact same thing.

Either that, or put it in a ziplock bag and blow pure nitrogen in for several minutes until all the oxygen is gone.

Or, put it in an airtight container with a candle...

Those look like German cockroaches. If any of them escape into your house you'll be infested for sure.

Well it's impossible to tell whether it's really the sellers fault. It could have been infested at one of that UPS centers.

That's true.

However I'd find it very odd if 7+ roaches got inside of a sealed box, then inside another box inside that first box, then one of them somehow gets smashed on the bottom in transit.

Ockam's Razor would seem to tell me that it's more likely that the seller's residence is infested and he doesn't realize it.

Or if he got the box he shipped it in from that back of a Grocery Store
