Its a certified refurb; it has everything i want at a great price:

-- Latitude E6400 Laptop: Intel Core 2 Duo P9500 (2.53GHz, 6M L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB)

-- 14.1 inch UltraSharp WXGA+ (1440x900) LED Display

-- Back-lit Keyboard

-- Genuine Windows Vista Business

-- Brushed Metal Black

-- 24X CD RW/DVD Combo Drive

-- 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz (1 DIMMs)

-- 90W AC Adapter

-- 9 Cell Primary Battery

-- 125V Power Cord

-- Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD With Express Card

-- 250 GB Free Fall Sensor Hard Drive (7200 RPM)

-- Dell Wireless 1510 802.11a/g/n Draft Mini Card

-- Integrated Webcam with digital microphone

Im upgrading the RAM to 4gb, and maybe the hard drive if its too loud. I got the integrated GPU on purpose so it runs cooler and quieter and has better battery life (I don't play games). Ill try for a new version of vista too. Im happy i got the p9500, that was probably the only one left that was a decent price, heh.

How did i do?

Depends on the price haha.

Mine is exactly like yours except it's a p8400, discrete graphics, 120 gb seagate with gravity sensor, bluetooth, and 4 gb of ram. And no backlit kb.

I believe it cost me $550 shipped.

It was $829 ($908 shipped). I was anal about having certain features, and this ended up having all of them with this processor, which i for some reason really liked lol. I woulda gone cheaper, but I couldnt find the exact combo that i liked. I believe new it costs $1500+.

I'm considering getting an E6400 also, I'm just trying to wait for a Dell Outlet coupon 😉

i wanted to do that too, but not enough time. i hear theyre pretty few and far between, and usually only when stock is high. the guy also told me that the prices were artificially raised so the coupon had less effect. dont know if that helps, but either way, good luck!

-- 125V Power Cord

I think you should have held out for the 220v power cord. I know I would have.

i didnt even know that was an option...if i saw it i overlooked it. i could always buy one later if i need to. what does a more powerful cord to? power the battery faster?

thanks for bringing that up!

i just got the computer, really enjoy it so far. i like the touchpoint a lot lol.

there are some minor scratches and smudges, is that normal on a refurb unit? i figured thatd be in the scratch dent category, but i guess thats only severe ones.
