Got a new dog today w/pics

Got a new puppy today. Picked him up at a shelter. He's 10 months old. He's a Basset Griffon Male 30lbs already fully grown. He has one brown and and one blue eye. He's a really good dog and not crazy at all. We took him to Petsmart and he was calm. He loves other dogs. He always plays with them and loves running around. He's a baby still so lots of training needed. I had a Pit-bull that died so this is a change of pace.

forgot to mention that I have a cat as well so we'll see how it goes. The cat's been hiding all day.

Found a name for the dog. His name is Bowie cus he has two different colored eyes like David Bowie.
 
That's a nice looking dog.

The tail is kinda funny though. I would expect a shorter tail on a dog like that.
 
He's really cute, looks like he got the nice,sturdy bassett build ? the feet, lol,the feet 🙂

I've never heard of this kind of dog until the people at the shelter told me about it. He has really stubby legs for a dog of his size. I'm reading up on him more right now on the net.

I was taking the pics. That's my neighbor. I make sure I've never in pics posted on the net, especially on ATOT. No good can come of it.

One of our dogs is a poodle/Jack Russell terrier mix and has stubby little legs too. It's make him real sturdy.

Guess you know a little about them eh? He does have funny/cute feet but they seem fairly large for his little legs. I guess that's how they are.

The name he had was Starbucks.......yea not going to keep that one. Don't know yet. I want to get to know him more and have something that fits him. By the end of this next week I should have one.

Yea every dog I've ever had has been gotten from a shelter. No need to get a brand new dog when there are thousands already out there that need a home.

That's the Basset blood kicking in. No matter what you mix them with they're calm. Cute dog, thumbs up for rescuing a loveable mutt. :thumbsup:

And also thumbs up on the name Bowie. I like that.
