Got a new comp, but need a new video Card

I just got my new PC today, but I need a new video card. I have 2 options: #1, buy a 9800Pro and LCD Monitor now, and wait approx 1 year for 6800U / X800XTPE prices to drop. Option #2, wait about 2 or 3 months for a X800 Pro / 6800 GT. What do you guys think I should do?

New system:

A64 3400+
Chaintech ZNF3-250GB
1024mb OCZ 3500EB

I am currently using my old GeForce3. For the time being I will be playing CS 90% of the time, so my video card isnt an issue. However, it will become an issue later on as HL2 comes out. Id also like to play D3 and D3 engine games in the future.

for that system, i would reccomend a 6800GT. check out the benchmarks of it on AT.

9800 pro/LCD the prices of the 9800 pro are too good to pass up now IMO.

you've got nearly the same dilemna as i do... a64 3000+, 1gig ocz ram, gigabyte k8ns-pro... with a crappy gf3ti200... I've already got an 18" 1800FP dell LCD monitor... so all i need is a nice vid card... not sure what to get for the vid card with a limited budget of less than 200... i want the 9800 but the 6800gt is so nice and outta range

Get LCD and 9800 pro.

EASY choice. LCD and 9800 Pro. Reasons obvious. The 9800 Pro is so dirt cheap that if you use it for a year or so, you'll lose 60-70 bucks resale. Don't believe me? Check out the prices of 4200ti's...a nearly 3.5 year old video card. In fact check out the resale prices of MANY cards, including hte 9500, 9600 pros etc etc. By the time you are ready to make the sale, the 6800GT will come down in price for the regular folks. If money is no object...then I say screw it, get the 6800GT. However, you seem to want a practical decision. It's a no-brainer.
