Yes he can.Dumb question but can he just cut off the end plug & connect a plug that will work? Sounds too easy.

To be honest I just bought a new antenna from eBay that seems to have the normal coaxial connection for $7 with free shipping and free returns so I am pretty set for now but I wouldn't mind practicing and try to replace the old one with the correct coaxial cable. If someone can post a tutorial that would be great! would be nice to learn how to do it. Never done anything like this before.I wouldn't do it till someone else chimes in.
I mean, you can buy a length of coax & put the connectors on after cutting to the length you need. Shouldn't be much different but it looks like that cord is smaller in diameter than coax.
wow that is very simple no soldering tools required. Thank you! might do this for fun and to learn something new one of these days.

Yeah. That's the problem with a $10 antenna....if you didn't have a $20 crimp tool and connectors ($5), you can't easily replace the end.Thank you but since I got the antenna for free and I been trying to get it working for 2 weeks I am just going to give up and buy a cheap different one. But thank you for the suggestion.
Right on. Thank you!or just cut off connector, strip to central conduit with an Xacto knife and stick it in the antenna port on tv![]()
Yeah, just insert slowly so you don't bend the center core. Assuming it is a coax cable and not straded wire.So I can't find an adaptor that's smaller than the normal one for tv antenna port at back of tv so if I cut the end off n strip it back to the wires I can then just shove those into the port?
Yep it's a coax cable and thanks I'll try thatYeah, just insert slowly so you don't bend the center core. Assuming it is a coax cable and not straded wire.
