Got a new Car

I decided to sell my Z06 and get something a bit more practical. I'll eventually get another one in 4-5 years, but for now, my goals and responsibilities in life are different.

I ended up leasing a 2012 Graphite Luster Metallic Acura TL w/ Tech Package FWD.

I gotta say, I miss having a nice interior (don't get me wrong, I loved the simplicity of the Z06's interior as well) along with all teh creature amenities.

It was an easy decision for me to go with an Acura, I had a 2007 Acura TL before the Z06.

I don't have any pictures atm as I let a buddy borrow my DSLR, but it looks very similar to this one (except my windows are tinted 30% all the way around):

and before everyone asks, I got a good price for my Z06, and sold the wheels/sub/amp/etc/gmpp warranty separately for a bunch ... so in the end I made out well.

I am a big fan of weird cars like the 914, Monza, etc... but thats just ugly. Its a basic Accord/Camry look with hugh ugly bumper covers. The older Hondas/Acuras look nice but this is just a hugh step back IMO.
 
loved the TL's until 09 as well lol esp the Type-S style mmm.

now just ew.

but congrats on the car! long as you enjoy thats all that counts.

Looks worse from behind. Acura's design team is completely off their fvcking rockers.

Nice car, otherwise, solid name, interior, drive all that. Just very awkward looking in some ways. Those wheels look uninspired, too. But that just goes back to design. I'm sure you'll love everything else about the car.
 
Congrats man. I hear you about changing priorities and goals. Cars are just tools. There's always another car waiting when you're ready. Enjoy your new ride!

You should see the rear. It's even uglier. Sorry OP but if you're happy with it that's all that counts. I just think it's styling is atrocious but to each their own.

I know when my parents where looking for a new car, we took a loaded TL for a test drive. The exterior was hideous and the interior was just awkward. Was a real shame because they wanted to trade in their 2005 TL for a newer one, but it completely turned them off.
 
Ugh! Acura's became so damn ugly in this generation of cars.

I could think of so many other great cars for $38K but none really have the performance of the TL. Perhaps you could have bargained on a SHO but I'm sure you will be happy with your choice as they are great cars - just ugly!
 
Wow... when I saw the thread I thought you would have traded the Z06 for a M5, CTS-V, or even a GT-R... but a TL?

Whatever floats your boat, but Id be lying if I said I didn't feel a little empty inside for you. 😉
