It is a 1973 (1972 canadian spec) Jaguar XJ6 4.2litre.

The back story...

This car has been in controlled temperature storage for 17 years. I have aquired it 2 months ago, but worked on it since. The dual fuel tanks had to be boiled out 3 times. New Oil, Filter, Spark Plugs, New spare tire, New carburettor kit and a New battery. Everything works great. I still need to fix the transmission mount, as the drive shaft slightly grinds against the body when the tranny is pushed.

Everything else is original, including paint, which has an official name of Queen Elizabeth Heather.

This was a show car, winning awards in the United States Jaguar Club during years of 1988-1992. It also won a french award which I cannot translate, but it reads Concours d'Elegance of 1988.

Boy this 4.2 litre purrs!!😀

Don't know what's more impressive: the car, or the fact that nobody has come in here yet whining about no manual transmission. :biggrin:
