Well, it's not so much that it's 'forward', but the side effects of it.

extra deep dash
extra long windshield
those little mini-quarter windows
and then just that phosphourescent speedo.

And it's not a deal-breaker (I've thought of maybe putting a strip of tint or something over the speedo or even blinders so the folks in the lane next to me couldn't use the speedo as their own speedo calibration gage) but all things being equal, I'd probably weigh it heavily against other cars.....(Corolla, 3, 6, Sonata, etc.)

Congratz OP,

Got a royal pearl 4dr EX a little over a week ago. They are very nice cars indeed.

What? If so, that's sad, my Camaro V6 gets close to that at 27. What's sadder is a Camaro LS1 V8 with the M6 gets better than I do at around 28-29 highway. I want an LS1 :(

21/29? Seriously? That's what my RWD 240sx got.

Is that hypermiling or driving like a ricer? I wonder who those EPA drivers are...

I'd imagine the gearing is similar to the S2000... which gets a measly 20/26, that is C6 corvette territory which has nearly 2x the power and 3x the torque.

Then what do you buy a 197hp FWD sedan for? If you only care about performance, buy a slightly used RWD car.

Check the civic forums... Most are gettting 26 mixed and 32-36 on the highway with occasional hotfoot action.

it is a nice balance i guess. you can putter it around and still get good gas mileage, it is safe and probably fairly reliable...has a nice stereo and is a nice price point....

not everyone can afford nor wants a BMW.. not only are they costly to purchase, but to maintain and insure.

That's good then. I'd buy one if I wanted a performance car because the 32-36mpg on the highway is worth it for trading off RWD... especially since according to Wikipedia it pulls .90g so it should handle great anyway.

Too bad there are no efficient vehicles like that for us offroad enthusiasts. How about a 2700lb Jeep with a 2.5L 4 cyl, solid axles, and decent aerodynamics?!
