Got a letter in the mail about a rebate I never got from over 3 years ago.

Bought a laptop from Circuit City in May of '03, and it had a couple rebates with it, one of which was from HP. I never got the rebate. I got some BS excuse about me not sending in the original UPC code (which I did), and in order to get the rebate I needed to send it in, which was difficult since I didn't have it anymore and a photocopy wouldn't make them happy. Several phone calls later and I gave up.

So today I get a letter in the mail from HP saying I was issued my rebate check and their records show it was never cashed and if I reply I can have it reissued. Sweet! 100 "free" dollars! I'm ver surprised they would do that.

Haha, no joke. It says after I contact them I have to wait the dreaded 6-8 weeks. So we'll see what happens.
