Retail isn't always bad.

Did some painting down at work ( training area, breakroom, hallway )

Not TOO big, but pretty big non-the-less.

Painted for about 4 days ( couple walls a day )

Got paid on the clock as well.

And got the mini for FREE.

:D

Very Impressed with the speed of this lilttle guy.. Still not on the same level of the 3000+/6800GT combo, but OS X kinda makes up for that..

1.25
1GB
40GB

Tower

Mini

And it's SILENT.

EDIT: Put 1GB in.. Runs much better, especially when I get a few of the iLife Apps open, and some widgets!

I wouldn't mind having a mini to play with myself. You even got one with 512 mb RAM eh?

Edit: Nice monitor too.

My putty knife was too big, then found a different tool..

SLIGHTLY dinged up the bottom, so i would prefer to not open it up again :Q

But that damn thing is packed together well!

Congratulations on your new doorstop.

Don't hate.

Is toast really needed for CD burning? Or will the built in setup do?

No, Toast isnt necessary. You can burn CD's right off the desktop. Just drag the files onto the cd icon, and it will copy them to it. Then, when you are done, right click, and click Burn. It will burn the CD for you. :) You can burn MP3's this way too. With Toast, you get more features when it comes to burning stuff, such as burning ISO's or DVD's. I have Toast 6, and it's great! Toast 6 has many more extra features.

Is it worth it to buy?

Can you still burn ISO's and whatnot with the built in software?

It's definantly worth it, especially because of all the extra features. :)

Yes, you can still burn ISO's. You can use Apple's Disk Utility, and it will burn ISO's and dmg's, directly onto cd. But, Disk Utility does not use overburn and it's not burn proof. I don't think Toast offers overburning, but it is burn proof.

For overburning, I use a wonderful app, which also burns iso, bin/cue files called FireStarter. And FireStarter has great features for being a free app! :)
