got a cpu/OC question

I was looking at the same thing for FaD. Although I was planning on using it at close to intended speed. My goal is to run as low of a voltage as possible to achieve low heat and power consumption. My Athlon64 and GeForce 6800 just chew up too much power to be on 24/7! As you probably already know, these processors are the same as the normal XP's, but they can run on lower voltages through AMD testing. They are the cream of the crop. So if anything is able to overclock well, it should be on the mobile side.
 
yeah, I am mainly looking for a bit more speed to do some video upscaling with HTPC apps - but of course it will also be speedier with DC 😉

Right now I'm cpu limited - I can see that in my testing using zoom player pro & ffdshow, have tried a few different codecs - need to get & test windvd6 as I've heard good things about it.
 
I wanted to try and get some more life out of this mobo - see if I could get any appreciable increase by going to a 512k cache chip running higher fsb & hopefully 2.5ghz versus the XP1700+ I have right now that runs 2 ghz @ 175fsb with only 256k cache.
