I bought big & rich's album at walmart the other day and the last track on the CD is corrupt about half way through the song... I have only bought a few music CD's... is this rare? It was $15! and I want my money back, but I believe walmart's return policy says that CD's must be unopened... will they let me return it?

jo1, what was the result? 😕

Isn't their policy something like "defective media products exchanged for same title only?". So why wouldn't they? Just get it exchanged.

Yep, they should take it back. They will probably only exchange it for the same CD (Duh.)

A while ago, I got the Star Wars Trilogy on Video Cassette, and it had TWO "Return of the Jedi's". They gladly exchanged it, provided they opened it up there on the spot, so I wouldn't return it.

My experience with this stuff has been that they will exchange an opened CD/DVD/VHS for the same title, but not for credit or anything like that. You should be good to go if you just take it to them and tell them what's going on.

I would say its very rare, I have purchased over 500 cds and never had any problems with skipping/popping/clicking etc unless I play them in a really crappy player such as an older generic discman.
