Got $45 million to spare? Need a place in NYC?

This is insane.

$45 million
7500 sq. ft
4500 sq. ft terrace
Tribeca area
Insane architecture with glass walls and staircase and all kinds of other crazy stuff.

I love the design, but I don't know I would want to live with it.

At $6k/sqft it's right where it should be. Some properties my company is selling a bit north of there are in that range, though not as big. 2,500 sqft condo in NYC is more than enough. Take the rest and buy some other properties around the world instead of dumping so much in one city. But the last purchase was purely for investment purposes... good luck trying to find somebody who wants to live in Tribeca that badly.

I can't put my finger on it, but the interior design has a bit of a retro-70s look to it (maybe its the glass panels). And for $45 million, the only kind of acceptable retro element would be Greek (huge quartz pillars, huge slabs of marble, giant hard wood beams, hand carved/chiseled things, real stuff that you can hardly buy today at any cost).

And the exterior, meh. It looks like an office building. A place I'd go to have an outpatient procedure, a root canal, something.

It's so expensive because it's in the middle of prime location. As usual many people don't understand that places are expensive because people WANT to live there and other places are cheap because people DON'T want to live there.

Couldn't you just buy out the roof of some other just as awesome place and build this there for cheaper?? 15 million price jump is a lot... And smells like overpriced.

That said, I wouldn't mind living in something similar to that. I do love myself some glass...

Unless there's internal window shades, watching tv will be futile unless it's after dark. Fail.

Fuck that. For that kind of money, I'd rather buy my own island, create furries, and make it an オタクparadise.

$45 million to live in the middle of millions of crazy people? lol no, not my bag man.

Would much rather spend a quarter of that on 100 acres with a lake, mountain views, and loads of toys.

But that is just me, for someone else the property in the OP is their dream location, maybe architecture too.

Tasteless crappy design. I'm no interior designer but I can do so much better for a portion of that money. For each their own I guess.

too much white, needs more color

also i hope those windows are internally dimming because that would get annoying really fast

Someone actually paid $30 million in Torona for a penthouse... You could buy 4 mansions a few blocks away for that much.
