Got $100 to spend. What should I buy?

Hey all. I've got $100 to spend on a new video card. What should I buy?

I'm a medium gamer and tend to do some photo manipulation. I've looked into Radeon 8500LE and Verto GeForce4 MX440 64MB. What would you recommend?

If applicable, I have Creative Labs Digital VCR.

Thanks!

Thanks for the help.

Is there an equivalent nVidia chip that stands against the 8500LE? For a reasonable price?

Should I count my pennies for 128 vs 64 MB?

Thanks again.

The 8500LE is a great buy right now... fantastic price/performance ratio.

64 vs 128MB... it depends if you're going to want to play newer games on high-texture. The majority of games right now supposedly don't benefit from more than 64.

And if you want to OC, definitely get a retail one.

The GF4 Ti4200 will slightly outperform the 8500. Not worth the difference in price, if you ask me.

Luck 😀

Thanks everyone.

I've been getting into Unreal 2003. I understand that's really graphics card intense.

8500 is generally accepted as the best performance for that price... As far as the geforce 4 mx blahblah.... Basically, if it has MX in the name, run like the wind!
