Yep, but at least there is something that can be done about it, more to the point, not done.

To the OP: What is this hair you speak of? I vaguely recall something like that when I was a teenager but it has slipped off my mind.

Yeah, but even if you never touch a drop, you still have to deal with your dysfunctional behaviors that result from living in an alcoholic family.

From my father I received a too-fast heart rate, a sensitive stomach, and a predisposition to heart disease (which is exacerbated by medications I have to take for another problem which may or may not be genetic). From my mother I got these annoying sloped shoulders that bra and purse staps easily slip off of. This makes a woman's life very difficult. :p

Not necessarily bad thing, but I also inherited from my mother fewer than normal teeth. I have no wisdom teeth, and no bottom second molars. Not even the buds for them. But I also have one of my canines impacted, which seems to be part of the package (my mother and sister have both impacted). I always wonder if anyone else has anything like this.

-7 eyesight.

A few personality quirks too. My dad is the antithesis of a perfectionist, and unfortunately I sometimes follow after him :(

Never knew my biological father...he died in the Korean War before I was born.
I bear a strong resemblance to my mom howver. I've only seen one photo of her mom...not her dad.
I've met a couple of aunt, uncles, and cousins on the res...they told me I resembled my maternal grandfather.
Other than that, I don't know much about the family history...

I'm fortunate enough to be quite healthy, however recovery is a bitch. Much love to all of us out there.

baldness.

My grandfather was bald, my dad was bald.

mid to late 20s and my hairline is receeding or I'm just freaking out about it. For a period of time I'd wake up in teh mornign and see few hairs on my pillow. Only odd thing is I'm hairy everwhere else. Chest, back.

I'm honestly fine with it. If it gets really bad I'll shave it all off. Andre Agassi did it.

My brother though doesn't seem to be affected.

We both have lower back issues though. Going back to when we were teenagers.

Mom's shortness (she's 5'), and my father's introversion and baldness.

Luckily I didn't inherit my mother's genetic 20/400 vision (life altering handicap).

I'm 25 I think I got the bald genes. :( I like my hair. Doesn't help that my chest and stomach is super hairy either. I look at my chest and say, "You fools grow on my head not my chest."

I hope I didn't get his cancer genes that killed him in his 40's also.

I know some people in here have it a lot worse than me though so list your Gene woes.

same here, started shaving my head around the age of 30 because it got so bad...
