Gore isn't a joke. It is our current president that is the joke!

I don't really want gore. I'd rather have someone else from the dems be nominated.

Great, in a couple years we'll all get to hear Russ say, "Gore lost. Twice. Get over it.".

Let me see if I can get this straight. You are attempting to invalidate his statement because he doesn't have a hyperlink and his link is for the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Big whoop. Being able to make a link or not doesn't denote intelligence. As for NRDC, I can't say I've really looked at the site, but it looks like people concerned about our environment.
Considering ice shelves are collapsing in the Antartica due most likely to global warming, it does say our current president is a fool. Instead of renegotiating, he just withdraws from the Kyoto summit.

If all you can do is insult his link, I think you need to be questioning your own intelligence.

Yeah, Gore would be doing a much better job right now, I'm sure.

I think Bush is doing a damn fine job. Turned the whole White House back into a place of business instead of "Animal House" like it was in the Clinton years. What specific issues do you disagree with in the Bush administration?

Gore is a nice guy. By all accounts a decent sort, and probably his reputation has been hurt by his association with Clinton. But I don't think he is a leader, and I don't think he would have the caliber of people in his Cabinet that Bush has gathered.

I'd like to see John Edwards run instead, Gore just strikes me as downright weird. I like Bush for the most part, but I don't like Cheney and I really don't like Ashcroft. And I'm not too keen on Powell anymore either.

I wouldn't, he's too young and politically inexeperienced. Which also probably means he isn't corrupt and in someones pocket. That actually might be a good thing then, but I doubt he has the popularity to run against Bush Jr and win. He'd do well as a VP candidate under some other strong Dem.

Would you rather see Hillary on the ticket?

Bush has assembled an excellent cabinet with the exception of Asscroft...

gore couldn't beat shrub when it was easy to pick apart shrub's political experience of being a governor in a state where governor isn't considered the most powerful office. unless shrub does something really dumb like not use the political capital earned with this terrorism stuff (a mistake his father made), gore won't beat him. he should run for office from his home district of washington DC.

I'm personally holding out to see if the whispers about John Edwards (Sen- NC) ever running for Prez are true. I'd certainly consider him a good candidate over the Gore.

That would be interesting. Edwards, unlike Bore, might be able to carry his own state. I'd actually have to look seriously at Edwards and look at his views and track record unlike Gore.

I'd vote for a blind monkey, throwing fecal matter, while singing n'sync songs before I would ever vote for Gore.

I figure if he can oust a well-established jackass like Faircloth he should be able to carry his home state.;)

He's a moderate Democrat by most accounts and thus far has a reputation as an effective legslator who pretty much keeps his nose clean. He's been tipped occasionally as a future candidate.....we'll see I guess.

Gore wont get the nod anyway. My guess is if Bush's numbers stay up the Dems will put up a sacrifical lamb like the Republicans did on Clinton's re-election.
