How old do you think Gordon Freeman is? Just out or curiosity.... the new concept art of him makes him look younger than in HL1.

is there a way to cheat and get like 3rd person view in HL2?

Because part of the game is too feel like you are Gordon and if he spoke he would seem too third person.

It's suppose to give the player a more immersive feel of the game. If gordon started talking you feel less like gordon and more like a viewer.

Bah... this'll be my one good deed for the day. Not being an ass to all the freaking idiots who post in the wrong forum. Gordon looks young because he's in good shape physically, has color in his hair, and youthfully-styled facial hair. However, with the kind of work he was doing and the information given about him in the beginning credits of Half Life like his master's degree in two fields (I think two? and I can't remember if it says age or not), he'd have to be atleast in his mid or late 30's if not early 40's.

I think it tells you his age during the opening tram ride in Half-Life. I think it's 26... HL2 is supposed to be two years in the future... you do the math.

IIRC Gordon was real low level at Black Mesa I.E. he was the pud that had to do the tests in the bad-ass suit. Black Mesa probably recruited him right out of college. I doubt he would have survived if he was 38...

18 years old
+B.S. degree= 4 years
+M.S.=2 years
+2nd M.S.=2 years
