I saw the tape of him making these remarks yesterday. The guy is an idiot. He's already apologized and walked it back this morning, but this is going to be a tough one to shake off.

As exhibited by Jesus when he kicked the shit out of the Roman guards, threw down his cross and went into hiding for several years. I've never figured out why people keep dropping the end off that line; "turn the other cheek... and SAVE YOUR ASS!"
