I don't know.

I mean Lincoln freed the slaves from working for oppressive owners.

Republicans want to free people from working to pay oppressive taxes to the government.

Whereas

Democrats supported slave owners in there right to the labor of slaves.

And now Democrats support liberal interest groups in there right to the labor of taxpayers.

Maybe the 2 parties haven't changed so much :hmm:
