Treason-supporting shitpickle wants to ensure children can understand the Constitution better than he does, but only if they get taught "slaves actually had it pretty good, and should be thankful for the help!"

1700's/early 1800's: Hey! You can be a pretty prosperous country when you treat human beings like property and pay them nothing for labor.
Fast forward: 2021: Hey! You can be a pretty prosperous country when you treat human beings like property and pay them sub-poverty level wages.

So. Much. Progress.

Ha ha ha ha.

"The Love America Act would “promote patriotism in education” by not allowing federal money to go to any public schools that teach students about how white supremacy or racism played a role in the founding the United States. "

It seems this person has never heard about the internet. The moment a kid hears something in modern day, they are going to get curious and read almost everything about it. Even if they are taught about the first amendment, you are going to expect to see kids who have read the whole constitution by 2 weeks. Wonder what is going to happen if a student asks their 3rd or 4th grade teacher what this strike out of an amendment in regards to slavery meant, in front of the class.

I guess a person’s mind can become quite frantic looking for any kind of patriotic looking cover when you are about to be exposed by a committee investigating Jan 6 where you revealed yourself to be a national traitor tight there on TV. I mean, what if people start thinking it wasn’t caused by a bunch of equally patriotic tourists but the worst scum in America just like him he was encouraging to overthrow the duly elected government of the nation he pretends to love. Who knows, real lovers of America might just start coming after him. His life might not be worth a plug nickel. I mean, if people can be worked up to kill Pence and the Congress and Senate, you wouldn’t think it would be much of an effort at all for people take a fancy to go after real traitors like him.

He isn’t a moron. Like Cruz and many others in the GOP it’s a deliberate strategy to appeal to a group of voters for the sake of obtaining wealth and power.

So America is the greatest country in the world, but at the same time the election was stolen, the feds are shoving microchip vaccines down our throats, and our nation is being led by a mentally incapacitated puppet whose strings are being pulled by a secretive cabal of Satan worshipping pedophiles?

This is correct. Hawley is an Ivy League brat from a rich family. He's a shitty little fascist demagogue but he's not stupid.
Just because he went to an Ivy League college doesnt mean he is smart. For all we know his parents just paid for a degree while he partied like Kavanaugh.

He isn't like Kavanaugh:

He then studied history at Stanford University, where his mother was an alumna.[18] Hawley graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with highest honors and Phi Beta Kappa membership.[18][20] Hawley studied under professor David M. Kennedy, who later contributed the foreword to a book Hawley wrote, Theodore Roosevelt: Preacher of Righteousness.[21] Kennedy said Hawley stood out in a school "which is overstuffed with overachieving and very talented young people,"[19] and has described Hawley as "arguably the most gifted student I taught in 50 years."[18]

After spending ten months in London as a post graduate intern at St Paul's School from 2002 to 2003,[15][22] Hawley returned to the U.S. to attend Yale Law School, graduating in 2006 with a Juris Doctor degree.[17][18][21] The Kansas City Star reported that Hawley's classmates saw him as "politically ambitious and a deeply religious conservative."[19] While at Yale, Hawley was an editor of the Yale Law Journal and served as president of the school's Federalist Society chapter.[21]

He was also valedictorian at his high school which is one of the best private schools in the KC area.

Probably should be changing the Pledge Of Allegiance once again. Delete "under God" and change to "under Trump".

Hey Homer, do you ever get concerned about the wealth inequality being at record highs or is virtue signaling all you know?

Hey Anandtech, maybe you people can focus on the homeless epidemic, wealth inequality, lack of affordable housing in America instead of bullshit like this. Your hypocrisy knows no limits. Shame on you, fake liberals.

Is this where you pretend Democrats haven't been crafting legislation to address all of this and Republicans haven't been blocking all of it? And pretending that the legislation the GOP has managed to pass doesn't make these problems worse?

So learning the whole truth automatically means hating America?

Is this bill also going to reaffirm that slaves are only 3/5th of the population for the next census count?

White washing history!
