"Only" 13 million might get kicked off? Not sure that amount will have much of an effect on the GOPs chances. If people want to vote this party in, they're going to have to face the consequences.

Given how unpopular Dems are, it won't even matter.

Remember how "big" of an issue abortion was supposed to be? It was supposed to be the biggest anchor on the GOP. Not even talked about anymore.

I have no issues with making corrections to stop over payments and illegals receiving benefits.

Making shit up to back a plan that denies millions of folks something they already had a critical need for is the perfect kind of arrogant affluneza that has become the hallmark of the Trump era political buffoonery. Passing off a "I got mine I'm getting yours too" scheme by flipping off at it is going to attract a lot of bad juju karma at them. But what the hell, we're all going to die anyway.

The legacy these cretins are going to leave behind them will be a skid mark in the annals of history.

Every study has shown medicare/medicaid overpayments in the low single digits. Meanwhile private insurance has rates upwards of thirty percent. As for your second assertion, I'm gonna need some evidence that shows a problem widespread enough to justify throwing millions of people off of health care.

"Medicaid Fraud" is GOP code for kicking people off of medicaid or implement "work requirement" programs that are ineffective and cost far more than they save.

Meanwhile they have gutted the ability for the government to address fraud from providers which is far higher.

It's about a war on poor people not addressing "fraud" or "over payments".

But the rhetoric works every single time on people like pcgeek.

CMS (Center for medicare and Medicaid Services) and the states are responsible for program integrity and verifying eligibility, particularly for Medicaid.

I understand that improper payments are not always fraud or abuse. A lot of the time it is administrative documentation issues. I don't see where you get the "low single digits" from. Either way it needs to be corrected.

As for the millions getting thrown off health care it is because they are ineligible for medicare / medicaid. That is what the goal is remove those that do not qualify.

Funny thing is the medicaid fraud isn't committed by patients by stuff they don't need.. it's by doctors and np's for phantom services not provided.

Have you ever heard of someone asking for a heart bypass they didn't need? But you sure can find doctors who were in 3 different hospitals at the same time billing medicaid for the procedures.

It's just a rouse to stick it to the poor.. fuck em. Geek wants to kill all the poor people.. notice they didn't ask for handouts, they just asked for medical care.

Now who's the bigger scum.. the poor or geek? lol

Rational people should go about examining the pros and cons of every action they take.

Regardless of the pros of stopping payments that are being made incorrectly, I'd like to think that our politicians would at least acknowledge that the possibility that "people are going to die" as a con. Saying "well, we are all going to die" pretty clearly indicates that she does not see it as a con.

Are you really comfortable with this?
