This would likely be many of them. Probably because a single mother with no/little job skills cannot support a family.

I doubt this is a significant # of abortions. Why do miscarriages happen? It is simply the way of life.

I doubt this is many.

Ummm. Social stigma does not lead women to get pregnant and then get abortions.

This is not many as shown above.

I would suspect that abortion is much more prevalent when BC was not used.

And that the # of abortions is accurate.

Right because men have nothing to do with children. And children are not important to society.

So long as women want men to pay for children (so forever) men should have a voice.

including a rapist?!?

He was talking about men in general not any particular claim.

If women really don't want men involved. Then I suggest we start levying a special tax on women to pay for welfare for single mothers, and for free BC, and free abortions, and schooling for the children of single mothers, and prison for the children of single moms. Hooray no men will have to be involved with women's choices!!!!!!!

Want to make a wager on how long it would take for women to beg for men to be involved again?

Finally the GoP has a second Pledge to submit to. This is just the kind of change American politics needed. :)

I don't understand how this 'fear mongering' gets any traction.

The SCOTUS has already ruled on it and Congress cannot pass a law overturning a SCOTUS decision.

Why is this even an issue?

I can't wait for this issue to die. People need to stop trying to force their beliefs on everyone else and just mind themselves.

Legislatures all the time pass laws that they know are unconstitutional under present court rulings. This forces the opponents of the law to spend thier money, time and effort to challenge the law in court. The proponents of the law pass all the bills onto ALL taxpayers, including those opposed to their religious crusades.

Fwiw I find a great hypocrisy in a person who is prolife except when rape is involved. They are prolife because the fetus is a human being and killing it is murder, so why is killing it ok just because the mother was raped? Is its life really worth less because she was raped as opposed to it being created when she got piss drunk and did a gangbang?

Yes . As do I .. I take comfort though in the fact I am not allowed to judge these things as God alone sets in judgment.. Your right in what your saying But I really struggle with the idea she has to bring a hate/ Crime baby into the world

Why do you ask? If there are only "a few", does that mean their right not to have take a rape fetus to term is then irrelevant? Seriously, what point are you trying to make with your question?

And please don't respond that you were "just curious." Nobody's buying that. If you were, you would have used google.

Actually, I was just curious, just not curious enough to google it. The entire concept is foolish, and it isn't going to happen. I was just wondering how few the entire hair brained idea was about.

And theres a chance of a new scotus judge being appointed since a few of the present justices are in their 70s already (Ginsburg is 79). A conservative president could replace Ginsburg with someone who would tip the scales decisively in favour of overturning Roe v Wade.

Funny how people developed opinions on subjects they can not know unless they too have been in their shoes.
I'd bet not one of these congressmen or presidential candidates have been raped. Or knows anyone close to them that has been raped.
The exceptions in the law for rape should be left alone.
Even if roe vs wade were overturned, exceptions should always apply.
Exceptions for rape.
Exceptions for harm to the mothers life.
For those two exceptions, the decision should always be up to, and only up to, the mother.

Not allowing exceptions is like saying that if you are attacked and your life is in danger, you legally can not fight back or protect yourself from the attacker.

Common sense need apply.

Abortion after rape is simply retrieving for the sewer the DNA that was going down the toilet in a few weeks and executing the DNA of the Rapist. The sins of the Rapist can't be visited on the woman in the form of forced motherhood. The intent of rape is not to become a father but to dominate and torture a woman to make her suffer. To prevent an abortion is such cases is to become an accessory to it. Of course, the motivation of the pro life folk is to enjoy rape vicariously. They don't have the nerve to do it themselves, but they don't want to miss out on helping the woman to suffer. As with everthing with conservatives, you fine this love of sickness and violence and its denial, filthy pigs that want to wallow in blood but can't admit to it.

One is too many asshat

Why the anger at me Dave? I've never raped anyone, I've never stolen anything (not even from my employer), and I treat the people I deal with every day with honesty and respect.
Have I asked a forbidden question?
