My fear is mainstream Republicans retiring and MAGA replacing them in Congress. You would think the GOP sharp move to the right would alienate independents but polls seem to not bear that out.

Independents are simply people who have not been roped in by propaganda yet. GOP has a well oiled machine for resolving that.

Clear as day there is going to be another try at strong arming the results of the election.. another Jan 6th and he doesn't want to end up being the one swinging!

I don’t think we can glean much real information from polling independents almost a year before the election.

No, "independents" are largely dopes who don't have the self honesty or awareness to own the fact that they are largely partisans themselves.

It's weird that people keep saying this despite Republicans performing very poorly in three consecutive elections.

Wow that guy is a serious d-bag. Was evacuated with his brother, only to return and vote against the certification for Pennsylvania. Said he was proud of his brother for standing up to Trump but then votes against impeachment.
