I guess dems expect their women to be in congress?
Female Democratic Congresswomen: 57
Female Republican Congresswomen: 17
Female Democratic Senators: 13
Female Republican Senators: 4 (2 of whom are moderates constantly maligned as RINOs by the "real" gop)
I could also list the number of black members of congress of each party, but that wouldn't be entirely fair since the black membership of the gop is essentially nill. Can't blame reps for not electing blacks if there are not rep blacks running. Course, one might wonder what policies or attitudes make blacks feel so unwelcome in the gop, but that's another question.
The Democrats are not as good advertisers as the Republicans. It wouldn't surprise me if the Democrats are seen as going too far to the left and suffer as a result. If either party showed a little restraint they could keep themselves in power longer. People didn't elect the Democrats to pass health care reform, they elected them to improve the economy and because they weren't Republicans.
Not really. While the economy was most certainly the most important issue, if you look at polling that took place before the meltdown started (and when Obama was still beating McCain), you would see that health care reform was one of the top issues. It was also a primary plank of Obama's campaign from the start.
It's also interesting that people think Obama's troubles have been from going 'too far to the left'. How is his health care proposal particularly leftist? I think if anything he has put his agenda for health care reform in danger by being far too centrist. Can you explain to me what you think a centrist health care proposal would be?
People elect politicians so that they will implement the agenda they campaigned on. Obama is moving to implement that agenda. Doing nothing tends to be far more injurious to future electoral success than doing something wrong. (see: Iraq)
I'd like to know-what exactly have Pelosi/Reid/Obama done that has wrecked the country?
I thought most of the damage was done by Bush and company.
Everything they are pushing is scary to any rational person, from socialist healthcare to government takeover of private industries to pushing for unionization etc etc, and you'd better believe it's making a lot of otherwise politically-neutral people uncomfortable.

The last election the dems were just way more energized than the republicans. You're starting to see that change thanks to the three headed monster, thankfully the public is taking notice, despite the media's attempt to mislead and deflect to protect the administration.

You are naive. Any decent political scientist can show you that the state of the economy is the largest factor in presidential elections. Bill Clinton didn't have "it's the economy stupid" in his campaign office for nothing.

The economy most certainly is the biggest issue in almost any election, which is why every candidate relates their agendas back to the economy. You can't view them in a vacuum, like health care doesn't impact the economy, and if you look at Obama's rhetoric about the issue you will see he frequently talks about it's effects on such... as he's done from the beginning. 'The economy' isn't some issue that exists independent from a candidate's agenda, it is part and parcel of almost everything he does. And yes, people most certainly elect a candidate to implement their agenda.
That is correct - Obama mimicked conservative ideas (tax cuts etc.) to convey image of a centrist - then he became the radical from hell pushing the country over a cliff intentionally. Cap and charade, stealthcare deform, taking over banks and automakers, skewering intelligence agencies, unilaterally disarming, throwing allies down the well, dropping charges against terrorists and militants etc. - all are emanations from the haunted house we know as Obama.
Like the communist he is he see America as the problem in the world and wants to cut it down to size. He's intentionally setting America up for high taxes and inflation (the reason he scares the rice out of the Chinese who know what he is). Obama is a neo-Marxist head case and functional maniac who has done more damage to the US in a few months than most other presidents combined. Like Captain Ahab stalking the whale that ate his leg Obama has a new harpoon for America every week. This will all end badly.

That article the OP linked to would be a whole lot more meaningful if it listed where those contributions came from in more detail.
Reminds me of how Obama's campaign kept receiving cash from diverse fresh sources throughout the election cycle whereas McCain's and even Clinton's contributions dried up early as the fewer big contributors they heavily relied on hit their limits and those with smaller amounts to ante up mostly put their bets on Obama.
